Client Sites Overview

Responding to the need to reduce their carbon footprints, councils are now recognising the benefits of SolarOne products to enhance their community pathway infrastructure.
SolarOne has elected to supply products for a number of unique applications including; bicycle and shared pathways, wetland, sanctuaries, boardwalks and general delineation.

It should be stated that it is not the intention of SolarOne to simply mimic grid connected services that, more often than not, are highly wasteful in the way they flood light far more than that which is actually required to meet user needs.

In the interest of sustainable practices, to avoid unnecessary light spillage and associated pollution, the SolarOne lighting method seeks to provide greater safety by both; delineation of pathways using high intensity LED visible for almost a kilometre and special sensors that warn users of others in the vicinity of the pathways.

In the future SolarOne predicts a change in lighting usage such that lower light levels will be expected in the way we design domestic as well as industrial lighting. For thousands of years we got by very well with indirect low level lighting from fires and candles and it has only been the invention of cheap electricity that has lead to its profligate proliferation.

Now that we are learning of the damages that such wanton excesses have lead to, we must pause and reflect as to the actual minimal requirements to deliver safety and security when we design new lighting schema.

Because SolarOne products are designed from extensive user needs studies and trials, they satisfy real needs and provide adequate guidance and the added security of latest sensor technology to allay safety concerns.

With respect to meeting Australian lighting standards, SolarOne shall attempt keep Standards Australia's publications current with the latest technology and will provide Standards Australia with a proposal to upgrade the existing the AS/NZS 1158 standards in the near future.
